Data Innovation Announces Real-Time Survey Capability
Super Bowl watchers participate in successful real-time data collection.
(Port Washington, NY, February 8, 2010) - Data Innovation today announced the launch of its real-time mobile survey capability as part of its Mobile Customer Insight Platform. Real-time surveys are administered during a specific period of time to participants of a specific activity or event. This kind of survey is useful for gathering fresh, in-the-moment opinions, such as feedback about a musical performance or a conference or a sporting event.
To showcase this capability of the Mobile Customer Insight Platform, Data Innovation invited members of its mobile research panel to take part in a real-time Super Bowl survey. The panel members are recruited, maintained, and surveyed solely on their mobile devices. Participants received the survey at 4 pm Pacific time and had three hours to respond before the survey closed at 7 pm Pacific time. Over 70% responded to the survey, on their mobile devices, providing real-time feedback about their Super Bowl watching experience. The survey asked a range of questions regarding the Super Bowl experience from the respondents' location, to which team they were rooting for, to whether they bet on the game. Interestingly, when asked for their primary reason for watching the game, 36% identified the game itself, 32% identified the commercials, and almost 19% said the camaraderie of watching with others.
